Encouraging innovation, promoting impactful ideas and awarding the effort born inside the classrooms. With that purpose in mind, these awards were celebrated, an initiative designed to motive students to transform their projects into established realities and to give visibility to their talent.
The final gala of the 2026 edition took place yesterday morning. The event featured institutional support thanks to the presence of Juan Luis Gandía, the UV's Principal of the Universitat de València, and Rosa Mª Bo Bonet, the Vice-Principal for Students, Academic Transformation and Permanent Training.
🚀 54 ideas to evaluate and first-rate judges
The competition tested the high level of the centres. Out of the initial 54 proposals, just 12 could pass the first phase, securing the €500 prize and a direct pass to the grand final.
Choosing the final podium was not easy for the highly qualified judges who lead the business ecosystem in Valencia: Raúl Martín (Plug and Play manager), José Luis Ureña (SECOT Valencia Board of Directors member) and Raquel Montesinos Romero (AJEV secretary and manager).
🏆 The awarded projects
After a very tight deliberation, the major prizes of this edition were given to three brilliant and ground-breaking projects:
-
🥇 First prize of €1,500 – Disalud 365 (Faculty of Phycology and Speech Therapy – PSYCOLOGO emprén): a model of comprehensive auditory attention invented by Fatuma Abeida. Her proposal revolutionises the field unifying circular audiology, phycology support and accessible technology.
-
🥈 Second prize of €750 – SYNCRA (Faculty of Physiotherapy - FisioEmprén): Developed by Teresa Guerrero and Carmen Toro. It consists of an innovative hardware and software system that focuses on women's sport health.
-
🥉 Third prize of €750 – Symposia (Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences - FarmaFood emprén): a web platform created by Matteo Vitali that automates the generation and the management of scientific curriculum for researchers.
The management teams of the 17 centres attached to the Pre-Incubator Network did not want to miss the date. They followed each presentation with pride, showcasing that the university community invests fully on supporting young talent.
From UVemprén we would like to THANK in capital letters all the participants. Your commitment, energy and creativity are the fuel of the entrepreneurship future of our university. Let's keep creating!
