The Universitat de València participated with the photographs of Pedro
Galisteo in the SUN Silk Road University Network PHOCOS 2016 International Photography Competition and it has got a "Special Selection" medal and diploma.
The University Networks of the Silk Road (SUN) was the organiser committee of this first photography competition under the motto “Campus Life at University”. The awards ceremony took place in South Korea on 9 August 2016.
The photographs presented by Galisteo in the competition portray the daily life of students who carry out the work placements of the degrees and of the postgraduate studies offered by the UV in the clinics of the Universitat de València, among which we can find the Optometric Clinic and the Dental Clinic of the UV.
Pedro Galisteo is a photograph and works for the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation of the Universitat de València. He has been nominated to Descubrimientos Phoestapaña 2014 and he has got three honourable mentions in the International Photography Awards in the categories of general news, traditions and culture. He has also participated in the awarded book with the 1st Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the category Best Non Alcoholic Book “The Great Book of the Horchata and the Chufa” (“El gran libro de la horchata y la chufa”), directed by Ms José Miguel Soriano del Castillo. He has published his reports in means of communication such as XL Semanal or Interviú, among others.
