The College of Art and Design of Valencia is a public centre, subordinated to the Valencian Government, whose aim is to consolidate a space of innovation to guide, train and promote the creative talents of the Valencian society.

During its more than 165 years of history, this School has met several pedagogical methodologies, always focused on direct teaching and practice of the workshop.

It had different names (School of Arts and Crafts), but always with the continuous work of a team of professionals and professors involved in an education related with the social, productive and cultural environment. In its classrooms studied many of the professionals of the Valencian design.

It is a centre that offers qualified education in the several areas of design, creation and plastic arts. The education offer is organised in two levels:

• The training on plastic arts, in the Training Cycles, that give the option of accessing the High-level Technician title (equivalent to the former Graduated in Applied Arts and Artistic Professions).
• The training in the design disciplines, in the Advanced Studies in Design, that give the option of accessing the title of Higher Graduate in Design (equivalent to a university degree).
