We present here a new approach to the educational support of adolescents on the basis of an open environment, with the aim of fostering positive integrated development through the application of an ecological model that engages the different levels of interaction between the young person and the context. The proposed model, premised on the figure of an educator working with adolescents who interacts with the community, is the basis for highly effective intervention, taking into account as it does the totality of a young person’s life experience and facilitating their empowerment and active involvement in their own processes of development and creation of a life project.
