The University of Valencia will collaborate with the “Col•legi Oficial de Bibliotecaris i Documentalistes” in the Community of Valencia

The University of Valencia and the Col•legi Oficial de Bibliotecaris i Documentalistes in the Community of Valencia signed an agreement this morning to collaborate with the objective of organizing joint activities and offer the members of the respective institutions those services agreed upon the specific conventions.

The agreement was signed by the vice-principal of the University of Valencia, Esteban Morcillo, and by Alicia Selles, president of the Col•legi Oficial de Bibliotecaris i Documentalistes. In order to develop this Convention, specific agreements will be elaborated to store the projects or acting programmes, and to determine the proposed aims, the working programme, and the necessary means to develop them. Both parts compromised to favor the participation in training and research programmes as well as a reciprocal exchange of publications determined in the specific conventions.

The Col•legi Oficial de Bibliotecaris i Documentalistes of the Community of Valencia will facilitate access to the training programmes organized by the College to all its workers under the same conditions as its collegiate members applying the prize of the members of the College of the UV. The Libraries and Documentation Service of the University of Valencia will offer the collegiate members access to the University of Valencia libraries and its loan service.

Within the frame of the current agreement, the University of Valencia will facilitate the access to rooms or other UV facilities as long as they are free to be used, in order to organize courses or other activities. The signing of the agreement will be in force for three years and counted with the presence of Antonio Ariño, vice-principal of Culture and Equality and Victoria García, technical director of the Libraries and documentation Service.
