Exhibition in Quart de Poblet
"Deporte tradicional valenciano y territorio» (Traditional Valencian sport and territory)
This pioneer exhibition focused on the importance of traditional Valencian sport particularly addresses the modalities of the Valencian pilota (galotxa, raspall, llargues…), from the historic, cultural, architectural, sports and educational, etc. point of view.
Likewise, other autochthonous sports are to be addressed as part of the Valencian cultural heritage such as lateen sailing, “corrregudes de joies” (horse races), horse pulling, traditional games in different Valencian areas, particularly in the interior of the Valencian region, as well as athletics popular from the popular races circuit, la “Vuelta a pie” (tour on foot) or athletics clubs.
