The project titled "TripTo" by Julia Durbán, is the winning project of the YUZZ programme of Universitat de València. The main activity of this intiative is allowing people from all around the world to contact each other in order to travel. It offers a perfect solution to travelling alone. The prize in the competition is a weekly stay in Silicon Valley, an international point of reference on the subject of innovation.

The jury has chosen the project as the best one coming from Centro YUZZ at UV, in which 25 young entrepreneurs have taken part during the five months for which the programme lasted. UV was the physical location for developing ideas - a network of more than 200 experts at the local and national level, business education, consulting and “mentoring”, as well as a collaborative work platform online.

Julia Durbán, together with 48 young winners from national YUZZ centres, will visit Sillicon Vallley in order to learn up-close about the biggest ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in the world.  They will visit companies with great international prestige such as Google, LinkedIn, Facebook or Hewlett Packard, and will attend lectures at prestigious universities like Berkley or Stanford.

Moreover, they will get to know Spain Tech Center (STC) - supported by Banco Banco Santander and Red.es -, whose goal is to enable the implantation of SMEs with a Spanish technological basis in one of the most dynamic and competitive environments of the world.

In Ciudad Grupo Santander, the 49 young contestants presented their ideas before a jury formed by representatives of Banco Santander, CISE and participating entities of the YUZZ programme.  The three best entrepreneurs will receive monetary awards (30.000, 20.000 and 10.000 euros respectively) to help them with speeding up the progress of their projects.

The YUZZ programme is promoted by the Entrepreneurship Santander International Centre (CISE), financed by Banco Santander, and in collaboration at the local level with the Universitat de València through the EMPREN + programme to support entrepreneurs, promoted and coordinated by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Researching and Scientific Policy.

In Spain, the YUZZ programme has the participation of more than 200 public and private entities which are committed to innovation and entrepreneurship, and among which Indra, SECOR la Fundación Princesa de Girona, la Fundación INCYDE, INTEL, Red Emprendia y Tuenti stand out.
