Grants for the development of innovative education projects and improvement of teaching quality for the 2015/16 academic year

The Office of the Vice-Principal of Training Policies and Educative Quality opened the call for grants for the development of innovative education projects and for the improvement of teaching quality for the 2015/16 academic year. The call is well-structured in three distinguished programmes (Innovation Centre Plan, Renovation of Teaching Methodologies and Stabled Groups and Continued Innovation Networks), with preferential attention to six action lines of strategic nature (the use of ICTs; the participation of the students; teaching in English; correlation of the graduated students with labour market; improvement of plans of studies; transference of knowledge). Deadline for the request forms will be from 15th May to 15th June 2015.

Since the 2003/2004 academic year, Universitat de València has been making an important institutional effort to promote educational innovation in university studies and, in this way, to be able to collaborate for the improvement of teaching in the case of the construction of the European Higher Education Area (EEES). Now, not giving up the fact of going into detail in the positive aspects of the accumulated experience, it is expected to lay emphasis in the transference of those innovative acts for the improvement of the teaching excellence.

To that end, the Vice-Principal of Training Policies and Educative Quality of Universitat de València, will present a renewed and well-structured announcement in three distinguished programmes:

- The A programme, Innovation Centre Plan, pretends to give value to the teaching coordination among the different subjects of one degree or, even, among subjects of different degrees, either taught at the same Centre or not;

-          The B programme, Renovation of Teaching Methodologies aims to experience test scenes of new methodological instruments and renewed improvement techniques of the teaching-learning processes;

-          The C programme, Stabled Groups and Continued Innovation Networks, is focused on to the constitution of groups and innovation networks, through the collaboration with other universities, including professors of different levels from the educational system.

These three programmes are linked together in a synergic way with six strategic action lines which, without denying the possibility of working at other fields, they will have a preferential treatment, every time specially linked aspects are linked to the improvement of the quality of university teaching:

1.       The use of ICTs and the elaboration of open materials;

2.       Promoting the participation of students for the improvement in the teaching-learning processes

3.       Support for the increase of teaching in English

4.       Realization of activities which ease the correlation of the graduated students with the labour market

5.       Improvement of study plans, with the view of accreditation and the obtaining of seals of quality

6.       Valuing, transference of knowledge and research in the subject of educational innovation.

Deadline for the request forms will be from 15th May to 15th June 2015. There will be a second deadline for the request forms which will be from 13th October to 13th November 2015.
