Promote the research in Research Groups, Departments, Interdisciplinary Research Structures and University Research Institutes. The research is a fundamental duty of the teaching and research staff of the Universitat de València and, as such, we will contribute to its development in any of the organizational structures where this activity is carried out.

Increase training and mobility resources of youth in the predoctoral stage. We will increase the number of predoctoral contracts in our own programmes, with a special focus on fields with a minor presence of doctoral staff, and we will stimulate the participation in calls of other programmes on the national, international and local levels.

Promote the Incorporation of postdoctoral researchers in research groups of the Universitat de València. We will maintain the co-funding of contracts of programmes of excellence (Ramón y Cajal, GenT, Juan de la Cierva and similar) in order to facilitate and promote its incorporation in research structures of the Universitat de València, which will encourage the attraction and recovery of talent after stays in research centres of international prestige.

Retain the research talent. The Universitat de València will maintain its stabilization commitment for those researchers of programmes of utmost scientific excellence (Ramón y Cajal and similar) that have received a positive evaluation of their activity and the necessary certification.

Continue with the implementation of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) in order to promote the employment of research staff and improve their working conditions and the quality of their research career. We will develop the Code of Good Practices and reception procedures for visiting researchers, and we will culminate the publication process of employment calls on international platforms.

Strengthen financially and rationalize the Universitat de Valencia’s own research programme. Alongside calls for staff, our own programme will be oriented to specific calls for support of research groups with different scientific career paths.

Promote services that support the research such as basic research structures of the Universitat de València. That will require identifying the needs of researchers, incorporating new services, supporting human resources and rational planning of necessary procurement and employment.

Review the evaluation of the research report. In order to collect and recognize the scientific production of the Universitat de València, we will include in the report the activities of transfer and innovation, as well as of dissemination carried out by the teaching and research staff.

Improve management processes of assistance in research, innovation and transfer. We will reinforce management processes with qualified staff and develop an efficient online administration, that will provide communication and interaction with the research community.

Reinforce the Ethics Committee in Experimental Research of the Universitat de València. Due to the increase in the number of records that ought to be evaluated by several committees, we will provide them with qualified staff support and the appropriate IT tools to perform their task.

Consolidate the model of university’s library as the Learning Resource Centre (CRAI). We will create new support services for researchers and reinforce existing ones, to advise them on requests for evaluation of research activity, selection of journals for publications, help with research quality indicators, etc.

Develop a strategy of Open Science. We will consolidate open access through the RODERIC institutional repository, promoting open publishing, and we will design the strategy for the responsible management of research data, in line with the FAIR principles: localizable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.

Continue with the Libraries and Documentation Service’s quality policy. Via service charter, satisfaction surveys and quality indicators, we must continue to be a reference of good service for users and seek external recognition through seals of excellence.
