Women build bridges, design viaducts, research materials, etc.
'Pioneres de l'enginyeria' ('Female Engineering Pioneers') adresses how women have entered Civil Engineering. The two main aspects of this exhibition are, on one hand, the extraordinary figure of Araceli Sánchez Urquijo (1920-2010), 'warchild' whose work would have an international impact and on the other an approximation to the first Valencian female professionals on the matter.
Their story is a model of supersession and sets an example for future generations on a reality inconceivable before. Engineering is also female territory.
