The presentation of the book and inauguration of the exhibition 'Luces y faros del Mediterráneo. Paisaje, técnica, arte y sociedad. De Torrevieja a Vinaròs' ('Lights and Lighthouses of the Mediterranean Sea. Landscape, Technique, Art and Society. From Torrevieja to Vinaròs') hosts, in a conference at the Maritime Station of Dénia, two complementary activities which are based on thje same principle: the Valencian lighthouses.

The exhibition intends to inform, disseminate and highlight this element of our public work, the lighthouses, with its historical, simbolic, social, technological, strategic and landscape connotations. A patrimonial and cultural legacy, part of the historical memory of the Valencian society. To the presentation, which took place at 11:00 a.m. in the Maritime Station of Dénia, the inauguration of the exhibition followed, that will be open from February to April of 2015, at the station, at the following times:

• Monday to Saturday: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Sunday: from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
