On 25 February, the information session on the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard (RCCH) Call 2025 was held in the Assembly Hall of the Rectorate building.

The presentation was given by Carles Padilla, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Multilingualism, and Pedro Morillo, delegate of the Universitat de València at RCC Harvard. Joel González Cabrera, delegate of the rector for Strategic Research Actions, and Pablo Sanahuja Ferrer, postdoctoral fellow at the Universitat de València, who received the ‘Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (RCCH 2+2)’ grant in the 2022 call and is currently enjoying his first year of postdoctoral contract under this programme, also took part in the event. For those who could not attend, the full recording of the briefing is available on video.

Real Colegio Complutense, in collaboration with the Universitat de València, has opened the Call 2025 for a series of fellowships and research programmes for professors, researchers and PhD students. These initiatives offer a unique opportunity to develop research projects at the prestigious Harvard University and its affiliated institutions. The RCCH reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and exchange between Harvard University and Spanish academic institutions, including the Universitat de València.

This year, the call presents important new features aimed at strengthening its impact and scope, especially highlighting the introduction of the new pre-doctoral fellowships.

New Predoctoral Grants

One of the highlights of this call is the creation of pre-doctoral scholarships, designed specifically for students of the Doctoral School of the Universitat de València. These grants allow stays of 3 to 5 months with a grant of $2,500/month for doctoral students without funding from their home university for international mobility. They are compatible with other grants and facilitate access to the resources and collaborative networks of Harvard University. The stay cannot begin before 1 September 2025 and cannot end after 31 July 2026. Applicants must be Spanish nationals or belong to the Schengen area with accredited permanent residence in Spain. The application deadline is 15 April 2025.
