This research group has arisen from the coinciding interest of its members in the tremendous speed at which technological advances and climate change are evolving, as well as from their shared concern about how such changes may affect the world of work in a globalised context, which explains the international composition of the research group. The objectives to be met can be classified into six main sections: 1. To analyse the impact of new information and communication technologies (ICTs) on the precariousness or improvement of labour relations by influencing aspects such as the violation of fundamental rights (discrimination, privacy and data protection, among others), the need for increased and improved job training, people's health, trade union action and employee representation structures. 2. The need to adopt measures aimed at guaranteeing a fair transition through the implementation of ecological strategies and a society based more on necessity than accumulation will have an important impact on living and working conditions, so their impact in this area will need to be analysed. 3. The context in which internationalised and delocalised productive activity takes place is one...This research group has arisen from the coinciding interest of its members in the tremendous speed at which technological advances and climate change are evolving, as well as from their shared concern about how such changes may affect the world of work in a globalised context, which explains the international composition of the research group. 3. The context in which internationalised and delocalised productive activity takes place is one more factor with a significant impact on working conditions which affects the aim of creating decent work for all, so it will also be of interest to the group. 4. Recently we have been able to see how other types of factors, aside from those previously mentioned, have a high impact on the world of work, increasing existing inequalities. In this regard, the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to exacerbating inequalities due to gender, age, type of occupation, etc. An analysis of these situations, seeking to solve the problems detected, could undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of decent work for all. 5. As a result of all the above, progress can be made in the identification of especially vulnerable groups and measures for their full social and labor integration and interaction. 6. Finally, the sustainability of the social security system, which has been built predominantly on the basis of the salaried worker, may be compromised if the new loopholes in labor law are not closed or different forms of financing the system are proposed. We are faced with a key issue because, despite the categorisation of the right to Social Security as a guiding principle in the Spanish Constitution, we cannot deny or fail to express the close connection that binds it to essential precepts in the construction of our Social State (among others, arts. 1.1 and 9.2 of the EC). In short, and to conclude, all the phenomena and aspects mentioned in the previous objectives converge with or are closely related to several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Thus, the research carried out within the framework of this research group will take into account these objectives, as well as others that will be set as they are revised.
