  • Understanding the causes and dynamics of territorial and environmental conflicts arising from projects that involve severe environmental degradation.
  • To advance the study of the environmental, social and territorial consequences of climate change.
  • Analyze the causes and consequences of rural depopulation.
  • To propose innovative territorial and environmental management tools from a political ecology perspective and towards an ecosocial transition.
 
Research lines:
  • Research on spatial and environmental conflicts..Studies on environmental and territorial conflicts arising from projects with environmental impacts from the perspective of the actors involved, their motivations and power games that arise and how they evolve over time.
  • Climate change and environmental crisis adaptation and mitigation..Study of the effects of climate change and the current ecological crisis on Mediterranean urban and rural areas and proposal for new adaptation and mitigation strategies based on IPCC reports and an eco-social transition.
  • Rural depopulation and alternatives..Analyse the causes and consequences of rural depopulation and design and propose policies and projects that can reverse the process, both from a demographic and territorial point of view, with an eco-social transition.
