
Universitat de València’s Principal, Esteban Morcillo, attended last Friday the presentation of a book which pays tribute to José Luis Iglesias Bohigues. The book is titled ‘Nuevas fronteras del derecho de la Unión Europea’ (New borders in the European Union’s law) and it is published by Tirant lo Blanch. The event, celebrated in the conference hall of the Facultat de Dret –procedural law’s facilities–, had María Elena Olmos, the Faculty’s Dean, Carlos Esplugues Mota, full professor of international private law, and Javier Boix, full professor of criminal law, among its public.
The Vice-principal for Communication and Institutional Relations, Silvia Barona, as well as many members of the university community were present in the event. Among them, colleagues and friends of Iglesias Bohigues, who has expressed his ‘gratitude for the tribute. I feel lucky for my contribution to the updating and development of international private law.’
The Universitat de València’s Principal, Esteban Morcillo, has assured that ‘Spanish universities have been built thanks to people like Iglesias Bohigues’. He has expressed his proud for the UV’s Facultat de Dret.
The book just published ‘Nuevas fronteras del derecho de la Unión Europea’ tackles, from a multidisciplinar point of view, the keys used to articulate the building process of the modern law in the European Union. It stresses future development ways and the trends which are going to be used for that.
