The programme of Santader-CRUE-CEPYME Grants presents the internship programme for students of the Universitat de València for the fifth year in a row. In all, 194 students of any degree will be able to benefit from the payed internships in small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme is financed by the Banco Santander with a scholarship of 1,800 euros per internship within a period of three month on a full-time basis (600 euros a month).
The initiative has the support and collaboration of the Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades Españolas (CRUE) and of the Confederación Española de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa (CEPYME). ADEIT, once again, will manage this grant programme for those who are studying at the Universitat de València.
Both students and enterprises can present their applications until the next 31 January, 2016. The internships will be made from 1 March to 30 September, 2016. The application must be submitted through the web of ADEIT and the web of Banco Santander-CRUE-CEPYME, which are set up for these grants.
Facilitate the job placement of students
With the main objective of incorporating the talent of young university students to Spanish SMEs, these grants help to complement the practical training of students by bringing them closer to the professional world, widening their knowledge and favouring their contact with enterprises that could facilitate their future entrance to the labour market.
For the Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies and Language Policies of the Universitat de València, Isabel Vázquez, internships “are always a very important instrument for our student to complement the training they received in class through a direct contact with the professional reality linked to their studies. The Santander-CRUE-CEPYME grants offer students this opportunity, at the same time that they facilitate the establishment of other collaboration bonds between the enterprise and the Universitat”.
More than 700 students have benefited from a Santander grant
During the four previous editions, 773 students of the Universitat de València have benefited from these grants and have had the change to acquire a payed, practical experience in an enterprise thanks to this programme of grants. The degree of satisfaction, according to recent studies, is very high. The 95% of the students who received the grant acknowledge having increased their training and the 33% of this collective found a job thanks to these grants.
