The Entrepreneurship Santander International Centre (CISE) launched the 7th edition of the YUZZ Programme “Youth with ideas” to the promotion of young talent and the generation of innovative ideas. The call to participate in the programme will remain open until the 30 of November. The YUZZ Centre of the Universitat de València will add 25 selected candidates.
Those interested are able to present their candidature through the application form available in www.yuzz.org
The selected candidates in the Universitat de València will benefit from the access of a high performance centre located in the seat of the “California Spain-Campus” of the VLC/CAMPUS (Campus of International Excellence) at the Tarongers Campus, where candidates will have a physical space to develop their idea, will have contact with other entrepreneurs and will receive training from a network composed by professional experts that will guide them, together with an individual tutor.
Once the training and advising process is completed, the best entrepreneur of the Universitat de València YUZZ centre will win a travel to Silicon Valley, the worldwide mecca of innovation, where he/she will have access to financing forums, counselling in internationalisation and contact with investors. When returning to Spain, the winner will compete with the best national projects for a monetary award (30 000, 20 000 and 10 000 euros) to accelerate the development of his/her business.
In the 6th edition of the programme (2015), the YUZZ Centre of the Universitat de València had 18 young entrepreneurs who had a physical space to devlope their business ideas, a network composed by more than 200 professional experts at the local and national level, business training, counselling and mentoring, personalised tutorials and a collaborative work platform on-line.
The winner project of the YUZZ Centre of the Universitat de València in 2015 was the UAV Works project, promoted by the entrepreneur Sergio Pardo and dedicated to the provision of professional air services using drones of their own design, in the industrial inspection, precision agriculture and audio-visual production areas.
YUZZ, a springboard of innovative ideas
YUZZ is a programme addressed to young people between 18 and 31 years that offers, during 5 months, support, training and counseling to elaborate business plans based on technological based ideas. During its six editions more than 500 companies had been created and during the last year 900 entrepreneurs with 710 projects in 41 YUZZ centres of Spain participated.
The collaboration of more than 60 private and public entities makes possible that the CISE, with the sponsorship of the Banco Santander, through Santander Universidades, develops the programme within all the Spanish territory, with training centres in every locality.
In this last edition, YUZZ counted with the special support of the INCYDE Foundation, the European Social Fund and Red.es, in addition to the collaboration with other national entities and organisations such as Indra, Tuenti, Intel, Secot, the Fundació Princesa de Girona and the RedEmprendia. All of them are committed with the promotion of talent of young people with business projects.
