The Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the Universitat de València, through Gandia International Centre and the City Council of Gandia and in collaboration with IMELSA (Provincial Council of Valencia), organises this Wednesday, 14 January, in the capital of Safor region, a conference about Mediterranean axis.
The round-table meeting “L'eix mediterrani a debat (discussion on Mediterranean axis)” will take place in the head office of Gandia International Centre (c/Tossal 8) at 18:00, and it will try to analyse the expansive effect which railway accessibility would have in Valencian economy in a European level. The main idea is to explain that Mediterranean axis not only affects the saving of transport costs in strategic sectors such as food and agriculture, motor, industry and tourism; it also must be understood in terms of boosts, diversification and internationalization of this economy.
Vicente Soler, dean of the Faculty of Economics; Leandro García, director of the University Institute of International Economy; and Josep Vicent Boira and Pau Caparrós, from the departments of Geography, and Sociology and Social Anthropology of the Universitat de València, respectively, will participate in this round-table meeting.
This event will be presented by Jorge Hermosilla, Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation; Salvador Enguix, deputy of Environment; Víctor Soler, first deputy mayor of the City Council of Gandia and Josep Montesinos, director of Gandia International Centre-Universitat de València (CIG-UV).
