These grants allow to take a professional work placement in micro, small and medium-sized Valencian enterprises during three months with the aim to complement students’ training, improve their knowledge and encourage their labour market integration. This programme allows SMEs to involve the best talent among young people.

In the previous three calls, over 204,000 students applied for the grant and over 24,000 small and medium-sized Spanish enterprises participated in the programme. Furthermore, over 44% of the grant holders of the third year stayed in the firm, either by extension of the grant or in staff. In the Valencian Community, in the previous call, over 8,300 university students applied for one of the 591 grants assigned to their universities, while 1,378 SMEs were registered in the programme.

Universities deal with the assignation of work placements according to criteria of transparency and worthy, language knowledge and the value of enterprises about the candidature in a personal interview. Moreover, when students register in this grant programme, they will be able to participate in all the activities and services offered by “Comunidad de Becarios Santander”, through www.agora-santander.com.
