YUZZ and the EY Foundation will award with 20,000 euros the best young entrepreneur woman. In addition to this call, titled “YUZZ Mujer”, they offer a trip to Silicon Valley for the best 50 projects, specialised training and financing for the three winner projects. The call of the 7th YUZZ edition will be open until Monday 14 December. The EY Foundation joined the YUZZ programme, directed by the CISE under the patronage of the Banco Santander, through Santander Universidades.

The “YUZZ Mujer” award arose from the collaboration between the EY Foundation and the Centro Internacional Santander Emprendimiento (CISE), with the support of the Banco Santander through Santander Universidades, and aims to promote leadership of women in the development of innovative entrepreneurship.

This new award completes the recognitions available for the participants at the 7th YUZZ edition, whose registration deadline is the 14 of December (www.yuzz.org).

“YUZZ Mujer” will recognise the leadership and entrepreneurial skills of women participating in some of the business projects and models developed at the more than 50 centres assigned to this 7th edition. It aims to promote female participation in innovative technological based projects in Spain.

Business and entrepreneur women nationally known will choose the best project leaded by a entrepreneur woman of Spain, who will be awarded with 20,000 euros and the support of a team of EY professionals to develop her project.

According to the last “GEM Special Report on Female Entrepreneurship”, the global rate of entrepreneurialism of women is around 11%, while in Spain is only 4,5%. This data reflect the decrease of the 30% of the difference between entrepreneur women and men in the last 10 years, even though this breach still exists in Spain. The numbers of these last YUZZ edition show that: only the 25% out of 900 registered people were women.

“YUZZ Mujer” joins the offered awards in previous editions: trip to the innovation worldwide mecca, Silicon Valley, for the best projects of each centre, 3 prices of 30,000; 20,000 and 10,000 euros respectively and more than 100 grants for the IMPULSA Forum organised by the Fundación Princesa of Gerona.
