Javier Pérez, from BBVA, and Tur Coll, from Meliá Hoteles, will explain both companies’ experiences in managing human resources. This is taking place during a round table today, February the 7th, at 17:00, in Facultat de Psicologia’s Sala de Juntas. The event is organized by the Erasmus Mundus’ Master in Work, Organizational, and Personnel Psychology (WOP-P) and it is titled ‘The Human Resources Management in two Spanish worldwide companies: The experience of BBVA and MELIÁ Hotels.’
The round table’s language will be English. Professor José María Peiró, director of Erasmus Mundos and IDOCAL (Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development, and Quality of Working Life) explains that the training offered by this master’s degree has a global approach because in a globalization context many companies have this same approach. ‘That is why we think these two companies are doing very well in two sectors, banking and tourism, affected by the economic recession, and they can give us clues to the current problems from an international point of view.’
