Conference-reading of Miquel Pujadó about Catalan contemporary music, today at La Nau

Thursday, 12th March, the Capella de la Sapiència of La Nau will host a conference-reading of Miquel Pujadó about the history of contemporary music in Catalan language, at 19h. The event is in the Fòrum de Debats programme and it counts with the collaboration of the Servei de Política Lingüística of Universitat de València. Eva Dénia and Rafa Xambó will participate.

Miquel Pujadó is a singer and a composer with a long and intense musical trajectory of more than 25 years. He  received a doctorate in Romanic Philology and he has a Catalan Philology degree. He is also a great connoisseur of the Catalan and European music. Pujadó combines his performances and concerts with a teaching aspect. The result of this trajectory more and more artistic and divulgated, the Cultural Centre La Nau will show the proposal “Con la palabra cantada”. It is a conference-reading about the story of contemporary music in the Catalan language since the last few years of the 50’s until now.

Miquel Pujadó is planning an unusual conference-reading project, a story of contemporary music in Catalan language, which in an enjoyable and entertaining way, but at the same time in a rigorous way, anyone will be able to get to know this genre. The reasons will be followed of anecdotes and live interpretations, commented, with nearly 20 songs (full or fragmented) of Delfí Abella, Pi de la Serra, Pau Riba, Lluís Llach, Jaume Arnella, Ovidi Montllor, etctera. And some of the theme songs by Miquel Pujadó.
