Culture in exchange for food for the needy, on Thursday in Philology, Translation and Communication

The ADR and the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication has organized for this Thursday, 10 October, the day 'Aliments x Cultura' ('Food x Culture'), with live music and performances. In exchange for paying a peculiar price (two kilos of food), it is possible to get a ticket. The collected material will be sent to the Food Bank of Valencia.

The actor Eugeni Alemany and the musician Toni de l'Hostal are the artists participating in the show, after 19:00, at the assembly hall of the Faculty.

People who are not able to go, but who want to contribute with the supportive collection of food, they can do it during all day. Food can be brought to the corridor located before entering the assembly hall of the center, and deposit it at the containers installed by the Food Bank.

Those who do want to attend the show will have to take the "two kilos of solidarity" to the very entrance, between 18:00 and 19:00. In return they will receive a ticket to have access to the room.

In the initiative collaborates the Nort-South Patronage and the UNESCO Chair.

According to the organizers: "After the call the Food Bank made last July to the Valencian society, our faculty does not want to stay away from a society that needs it. The humanistic values are our core values ​​and, consequently, helping those who need it the most is a civic duty to which we are more responsible now than ever. "

The list of foodstuff needed range from infant food (baby milk, cereals and 'baby food jars') to oil, tomato sauce, milk, cookies ...
