The director of ANECA explains the changes in the rules of accreditation of teachears at Universitat de València

Rafael van Grieken Salvador, director of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), gave the lecture “Changes in the rules of accreditation of teachears” in the Faculty of Economics at the Universitat de València. The talk has generated so much expectation among the university community that required to enable two rooms, plus the ones originally planned.

The conference has been presented by the Principal of the Universitat de València, Esteban Morcillo, that highlighted the efforts of Rafael van Grieken for "visiting Spanish public universities to explain the changes that the government is preparing for the accreditation system in the teaching level. This is a topic of wide interest and debate”, he said. Indeed, the public has filled three rooms of the Faculty of Economics: Ignasi Vilalonga room, Sánchez Ayuso room, and the Graduate Hall Among those present were Juan Luis Gandia, Vice Chancellor for Business and Infrastructure; Ramón López, Vice Principal of Political Training and Educational Quality. The dean of the Faculty of Economics, Vicent Soler; Dean of the Faculty of Law, Maria Elena Olmos; Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Julio Fernández and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Ernest Cano were also present.

In his speech, the president of the ANECA has ensured that at the time to show the new accreditation of teachers “the most important is to make certain changes that will occur to improve our educational system, and for this there is no better way transmission by someone familiar with the matter”.

The talk of Rafael van Grieken has shelled issues such as the general profile of accreditation of teachers. He has also reviewed some of the points intended to improve the current system of accreditation and he has explained the basic lines of the reform project and its potential benefits.
