
The Universitat de València inaugurates on Tuesday, 22 March, the exhibition ‘La Shoá por balas. Yahad-In Unum, diez años de investigación. Las ejecuciones en masa en la Europa del Este’ (‘Shoah by bullets. Yahad-In Unum, ten years of research. Mass executions in Eastern Europe’) at the Faculty of Geography and History. To the opening event, that will start at 20 hours, will be attended by the principal Esteban Morcillo; the counselor Vicent Marzà; the vice-principal Jorge Hermosilla; and the ombuds officer, Elena Grau.
This showing, that can be visited until 31 May, offers the result of ten years of research of the organisation Yahad, founded in 2004 by the Father Patrick Desbois in Paris and dedicated to the identification and documentation of the places of mass executions of Jews committed by the mobile death squads of the Nazis (‘Eintsatzgruppen’) in Eastern Europe during the Secondo World War.
The work of the organisation Yahad pretends to collect evidences of every execution by fire during the Holocaust by bullets, to stop the lies, to showr respect to the places where the victims are bruied and to make possible their preservation, as well as to prevent other genocides.
At the exhibition ‘La Shoá por balas’ there can be observed the different stages of the Nazi crimes. Divided into five modules, the showing shows the transversality of the criminal process that is behind the multiplicity of the Nazi crimes and a final sum up with a rose. The five elements are: the arrest, the journey, the nude, the shooting and the sacking. Every criminal phase forms one module thaat combines the findings obtained by Yahad and the ones from the archive.
