The Faculty of Physiotherapy hosted this Tuesday, 9 April, the VIII Haemophilia Training Day INFOHEMO 2014. The conference, which was developed at the V Lecture Room of the Faculty, from 9:00 to 13:00, has aimed to spread haemophilia, a rare disease which presents the musculoskeletal bleeding as the most important clinical manifestation.
This conference has been aimed at students of the faculties of Physiotherapy and Physical Education, as well as at professionals involved with the care of haemophilic patients and relatives.
They dealt with aspects related to the haemophilic arthropathy, the role of physiotherapy in these patients, the physiotherapy of the muscle bruise, the new technologies applied to physiotherapy in these patients and the physical exercise and sport.
The speakers were members of the Haemostasis and Thrombosis Unit of La Fe Hospital of Valencia, as well as professors of the departments of Physiotherapy and Physical Education of the University of Valencia.
