Today, 13 June 2016, Health and Safety and the Environment Service of the UV is carrying out a fire drill on the facilities of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology, located in Blasco Ibáñez Campus.
This practical activity is included within the implementation of the Programme for Buildings’ Self-Protection of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology and will count on the collaboration of Valencia City Council’s Citizen Attention Office of Civil Protection, together with the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology’s Emergency Teams and external companies.
Fire drill is estimated to start around 12 am. Fire will be simulated by artifical non-toxic fog in a floor of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology. After being detected, emergency teams will mobilise to evacuate all the affected spaces, evicting any employees and users that might be found in the library. In this way, actions of the building’s self-protection will conclude.
