First international congress on open Government and transparency, at Valencia.

On days 21 and 22 November, Valencia hosts the First international conference on Open Government. Organized by the University of Valencia, the Valencian Association of Political Scientists AVAPOL and the Network Right TICS, the event aims to put Valencia in the city of study and analysis of transparency, open government and public information disclosure.

The sessions are led by the full-University professor at the University of Valencia Lorenzo Cotino and President of the Valencian Association of Political Scientists AVAPOL, Jose L. Sahuquillo. The inaugural lecture will be given by the President of International Transparency Spain, Jesús Lizcano. Also, it will be exhibited more than 100 lectures from academics, practitioners and researchers from around the world.
 
As an added value there are organized forums with leading experts in the field, and parallel events such as the presentation of a book on innovation in public administration and presentation of the social network NOVAGOB, aimed at public employees.
 
The organizers pretend with this share, reflect and analyse the progress on Open Government and Transparency in recent years with the sole purpose of encouraging our public representatives and public administration to design and implement public policies on Open Government.
 
There are over 250 registered delegates from all over the world.
