Under the title 'Antonio Ferri. From Abstract to the Quattrocento ', served on Principal Peset Hall of Residence of the University of Valencia the funds that constitute the museum's permanent exhibition, funded by the European Union, the city of Bocairent has dedicated to the painter. The exhibition opens today, Thursday, September 26 at 19h, and it will be opened until October 24 at the Sala de la Muralla.
This exhibition is set as the best retrospective of Antonio Ferri that are available. It will be given the circumstance that his pictures will do the same path as its author, who was born in Valencia and quickly settled in Bocairent, although later he was opened to the world. he lived in several Spanish and European cities -until reaching Cornell University, there he found his best accolade as the painter and professor of master class he is.
He has held exhibitions in France, Denmark, England, Switzerland and Germany and again he's back here, this project of his own museum and the problem of gathering all their know-how.
Antonio Ferri is reunited with all records belonging to him, from the frames and monochrome surfaces of his abstract works, with great technical expertise and complex reading in which the viewer is caught in the rhythms and the links that are created between strokes and patterns, colors and graphics, up to that figurative emerging from their plots, or that was already there from the beginning, and that takes us back to the quattrocento painting with the majesty of the gestures and the perfection of the features of their knights, his angels or his Penélopes weaving her painting with patience and effort.
