General Foundation of Universitat de València through the Professional Placement and Careers Advice Monitoring Centre (OPAL), has joined the Red Orienta of the Valencian Community, a network for career guidance launched by the Valencian Employment and Training Service (Servef) for the improvement of the employability of the unemployed people.

Fifty public and private entities have joined, voluntarily, to this network to provide professional guidance services as is the case of the General Foundacion through OPAL.

The network has already started functioning with the registration of the first 100 career counselling services and its objective is to become a tool to improve the efficiency and the capacity to act in the professional guidance.

The joining of General Foundation has been produced since it meets the requirements entailed to all the entities to take part in it: methodology, appropriate academic degrees and experience for the development of the guidance, spaces, installations and equipments, as the Department for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Work has indicated in a press release.

From now on, General Foundation of Universitat de València, as a joined entity to Red Orienta GV, will have to facilitate to Servef information on the actions of professional guidance, as well as the results of the provided services to the people that demand employment.

In this sense, the new network will homogenise the guidance actions and will make profitable the efforts through a major coordination of the actions and the removal of the duplicated actions on the citizens by different entities.
