Tomorrow Friday, the Institute for Molecular Science (ICMol) of the University of Valencia celebrates the XII Scientific Conference, an action of scientific dissemination that has been held since its inception to celebrate its anniversary. The lectures will focus on different topics, from intelligent molecular material and its impact on medicine, to the chemistry connections with music, including molecular nanoscience.

As on every occasion, the conference will count on the participation of internationally renowned scientists, such as Nazario Martín, Rey Jaume I Basic Research Award 2012; Santiago Álvarez, Catalan-Sabatier Award 2012, and Toribio Fernández Otero, Spanish Royal Society of Physics Chemistry-Physics Award 2004.

The conference will be open to the public and it will be held from 9:00 to 13:30.

The Institute for Molecular Science (ICMol) is a centre of excellence in Chemistry and Molecular Nanoscience which scientific objectives are the design and synthesis of functional molecules, supramolecular associations and molecular materials with physic and chemical properties of interest, as well as the study, characterization and analysis, both experimental and theoretical, of these properties. Moreover, it applies these molecular systems within different areas of interest, for instance, molecular magnetism, molecular electronics, nanotechnology and biomedicine.
