The Aula Magna of la Nau hosts this Thursday, 22 October, at 19:00, the projection of Eileen Jerret’s documentary film ‘Blueberry Soup’ (USA,2014), which addresses the phenomenon of the Icelandic constituent process, an experience emerged from people -also known as the citizen’s constitution- that was an unprecedented landmark which left out the political parties.
After the documentary projection, a debate will be celebrated, under the title ‘Blueberry Soup: reescribir la Constitución, reinventar la Democracia’ (Blueberry Soup: Rewrite the Constitution, Reinvent Democracy), in which the Icelandic constituent process (2010-2013) after the 2008 crisis will be discussed, as well as its significance for democracy in Europe.
The debate will count with the participation of Eileen Jerrett and Law Professors, Andrés Boix y Carlos Flores, of the Universitat.
The interventions will be made in English and Spanish, and there will be a simultaneous translation service.
