The Laboratory of Research in Experimental Economics of the University of Valencia (LINEEX) celebrates an open doors day this Wednesday, 14 May, at 17pm, with the participation of representatives from the university and business world. The meeting is led by new director of LINEEX, José Vila, tenured professor of the University and researcher of ERI-CES, a research group of which is part LINEEX.
On this meeting day, the tram of LINEEX will make public the operation of the laboratory through a simple economic experiment in which participate the attendants of the conference.
The aim of LINEEX is to study, understand, predict and quantify the behaviour of people when they interact with economic and social contexts. To do so they design controlled situations (that is, experiments) in which the participants are welcome to make individual or collective decisions economically boosted.
Moreover, its own task of research and of support to researchers of ERI-CES, of the University of Valencia and other universities in the world, LINEEX is an example of knowledge transfer of the research results. In this last line, LINEEX has worked for organisations as the Institute of Prospective Technological Studies of the European Union and for important Spanish companies in the financial and high-volume sector.
