Last Friday, Universitat de València Publications presented the book ‘Valencianisme, l’aportació positiva’ (Valencianism, the positive contribution) by Francesc Viadel. A lecturer of sociology, Rafael Xambó, the journalist Adolf Beltrán, the representative of the UV’s Publications Gustau Muñoz, and the book’s author, attended the presentation. It started at 19:30 at the Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània.
Valencianism has managed to maintain a decent cultural production throughout the years. It has filled many society sectors despite the opposing environmental pressure and the persecution by power politics. The book follows the Valencian cultural and political trajectory over half a century.
