OPAL renews its quality management system for the advising, training and diffusion actitivies regarding employment

OPAL has renewed the certificate of its quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 standard. This standard establishes the implementation of activities such as studies for labor market integration and employers’ demand, as well as training activities promotion and diffusion services, job offers, and job counselling to Universitat de València’s students.

Last June 15, OPAL passed an audit made by SGS ICS Ibérica, SA. The aim of this was to renew its quality management system. Analysis did not reveal any disagreement with the established performance processes. Then, the audit’s result was the renewal of the quality management system’s certificate of OPAL according to ISO 9001:2008 standard.

This is the second renewal audit since OPAL gain the quality certificate according to this ISO standard in 2006. This standard allowed OPAL to implement studies of employability, promotion and diffusion of training activities and job counselling services to students and graduates of Universitat de València. From that moment, OPAL has had this quality system, and it has extended its activities to diffusion of job offers, news and journals, and, this year as well, an study on the employers’ demands.

Concern with constant improvement and quality has been reflected in OPAL’s image. Indeed, since 2006, when it got its first quality certificate, the surveys made to users on the quality of OPAL’s services, have always shown high results. In 2011, 1,977 job conselling and 68 group counselling activities were implemented.

Users ranked OPAL’s services 4.77 (from 1, meaning very bad, to 5, meaning very good). The average points for its reception service was 4.73.
