The Physical Education and Sports Service of the University of Valencia has opened today, the registration period for activities, competitions and courses scheduled for the second semester. Students can choose from a wide range of activities related in different aspects of sport, which from University are proposed with the objective to acquiring new skills that promote a healthy sport practice.
The range of choices is vast and the offer is for members of the university community and also for the general public who is interested in physical activity and sport.
The programme of activities of the second term is rather complete, are offered over a hundred different activities. Classes will be held from February and the offer can be consulted through the website of the Physical Education and Sports Service of the University.
For those who wish to continue competing during the second term, the Physical Education and Sports Service offers the possibility to do so in more than thirty sports, both in team or individual. Moreover, from 20 March will begin the competition more widely accepted by students; the Trofeu Rector, the internal sporting competition in which participate the entire university community and confronts the teams and athletes of the different campuses of the University.
The Service doesn’t forget about training and in this second term continues with its range of courses in which students can choose from forty different courses, ranging from initiation courses in various sporting disciplines through rhythmic and expressive, food and nutrition, treatment of injuries or adapted sports activities, among others.
Also are offered courses with official qualification, as the practical-course for the degree of master of pleasure craft, a highly demanded course in the first semester.
Moreover, with the offer of training in sports volunteering, students can obtain ECTS credits. The registration, which is done through the application Automatricula, is open from 21 January.
