
Last Friday, Peter Norvig, Research Director at Google, brought to a close the Open Course Nuevas Alfabetizaciones y Entornos Conectivistas organized by Unitat d’Innovació Educativa. He gave an on-line lecture at 18:00, which could be followed live and simultaneously translated into Spanish through the Internet.
The streaming lecture was carried out thanks to Universitat de València’s platform Blackboard Collaborate. For those interested in the lecture click here, Loggin in was necessary since people could take part in the lecture like if it was a chat. Then, access to the lecture is possible, where an option to have it in Spanish is available.
Norvig is talking about Google’s educational progresses and project where they have took part in, such as Udacity, an on-line university offering open courses operated by robots.
The Open Course Nuevas Alfabetizaciones y Entornos Conectivistas, also known as Nanec, is an on-line and free activity organized by Servei de Formació Permanent i Innovació Educativa. It is aimed to present educational researches and projects carried out worldwide. Moreover, it tries to develop and reinforce the educational networks between Universitat de València’s lecturers and those from other universities, especially Latin American ones.
