The program is structured in two parts, based on the two major lyrical genres: opera and zarzuela. From Verdi, the public can hear some of the most prominent passages 'Aida', 'Rigoletto' or 'Nabucco', plus the famous aria 'O mio babbino caro' from Puccini, Verdi's considered successor. The first part of this program will conclude with two pieces of the most important work of the Valencian composer Manuel Penella, 'El gato montés', which premiered as an opera at the Teatro Principal of Valencia in 1917.

The second part of the recital was devoted to zarzuela, the great Spanish lyric genre. They will perform a selection of preludes, arias, duets and choruses of the most important authors of zarzuela, like Tomás Bretoón ('La Verbena de la Paloma'), Federico Moreno Torroba ('Luisa Fernanda'). Highlights include, the important contribution to the genre of the Valencian Federico Chueca ('La Gran Vía'), Ruperto Chapi ('La Revoltosa'), José Serrano ('El trust de los tenorios'), and Juan Vert ('La del soto del parral')
