Professor of Parasitology at the University of Valencia Antonio Marcilla runs an extracellular vesicles seminar held from 18 to 20 September in the UIMP. The opening ceremony, to be attended by the rector Esteban Morcillo, will be today at 9:45 pm. Throughout the conference it will be discussed implications of these genetic messengers capable of revolutioning medicine of the XXI century.
Extracellular vesicles, discovered thirty years ago, transferred genetic information from one cell to another, so they are important features when providing new possibilities for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of various nature. In fact, these vesicles are able to transfer the necessary messages to become a healthy cell tumor.
