Teresa Forcades.

Branded as the 'revolutionary nun' for her vision on the role of women, abortion, or the model of society, Doctor in Medicine, Theology and Benedictine nun Teresa Forcades participates tomorrow Tuesday, 7 May, at 20:00, at the Forum of Debates to be held in the auditorium of the University of Valencia, at the Cultural Centre La Nau.

In her lecture 'We will do the revolution and then we will do it again', Forcades, who will be presented by Ferran Montesa, CEO of Le Monde Diplomatique in Spanish, inaugurates the series 'Critical thinking: thinking about the future'. This event is part of the Forum of Debates' programming on the University of Valencia and is done with the collaboration from the School of Thinking.

Considered by herself as a "feminist nun", her thinking is reflected in 'Dialogues with Teresa Forcades' (DAU Editions), a series of interviews conducted by journalist Tort Eulalia, in the monastery of Sant Benet, where Forcades resides. Through these in-depth interviews one can learn more about who she is and what she thinks about a wide range of topics: religious experience, the ordination of women in the Church, the pharmaceutical industry, the necessary renewal of the Church , excess medication in our lives, the current economic system. Forcades, who is in favor of abortion, homosexuality and euthanasia in Christian principles, has also published 'Crimes of Big Pharma' and 'Feminist theology in history'.
