
INBAM (International Network of Business and Management), whose objectives are the promotion of university-business relationships and research knowledge transfer to business, was presented last February 9th. The event took place at Valencia’s Cámara de Comercio and the following important figures were present: the Universitat de València’s Principal, Esteban Morcillo; the Valencia Ministry for Education, María José Catalá; the president of Cámara de Comercio, José Vicente Morata; and the Principals of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and Universidad Católica San Vicente Mártir, Juan Juliá and José Alfredo Peris.
The Universitat de València’s Principal emphasized that ‘INBAM is placing us in an advisable scenario because its quality and internationalization.’ José Vicente Morata, in his turn, explained the need to work for the involvement of universities and companies. ‘When universities allowed us the objectives of INBAM association we saw the opportunity for offering a practical working context, which will be able to take knowledge out from classrooms and laboratories and get it involved in the economic reality.’
The Valencian Ministry, María José Catalá, underlined the importance of this university-business collaboration and the significance of linking the Valencian business fabric with innovation, technology and the many professionals that are developing their jobs at the valencian universities every day.
The association’s goal are the promotion of the universities-business relationships, the transfer of research knowledge from universities to industry, and the improvement of the practices of entrepeneurial and economic management.
