Seven remarkable projects will receive support of Siocialnest social entrepreneurs programme

The firm Socialnest is hosting the event ‘Sonrisas que mueven el mundo’ September 26 at Centro Cultural Bancaja. This way, the Programa de Apoyo a Emprendedores Sociales 2012 (the support programme for social entrepreneurs) is opened. Jaume Sanllorente, founder of Sonrisas de Bomba, has talked about how the work of this NGO contributes to improve the life of thousands of people in the slums of this city.

The seven projects chosen in the second call of proposals are going to be disclosed during the event. According to Margarita Albors, the person in charge of Socialnest, these projects are ‘new iniciatives to improve our world.’ The projects include different sectors in the social sphere: houses for people with functional diversity, a web site allowing cooperation between tourists and developing countries, a web site managed by indigenous communities, or a custom made sustainability programme for every organization, among others.

Socialnest is the first social companies incubator in Spain. It focuses its work in the promotion of social entrepreneurship, a growing sector promoting the creation of organizations to solve social problems in an financially self-sustaining way.

The event is having Jaume Sanllorente, founder and general director of the NGO Sonrisas de Bombay, who is talking about his entrepreneurial story and explain how the work of the NGO is contributing to improve the lives of many people in Bombay’s slums.

The event, which is going to be held at Centro Cultural Bancaja, has the support of Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad and the EU’s programme ‘La Juventud en Acción’.
