Around 150 people gathered last Wednesday at the staircase of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry to demand an independent investigation that allows to clarify the bombing of a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital in Kunduz (Afganistan). In the attack, on 3 October, died 22 people and 37 were injured.
“What happened has been called ‘collateral damages’, but we sum up to the petition of MSF for an independent investigation that allows to clarify the bombing by the USA. All the lives cut short were innocent lives, the hospital coordinates had been last updated on 29 September”, declare the organizers. “Why was this location bombed for 30 minutes?”, ask the organizers of this act of protest in a manifest.
Members of the dean’s office team of the faculty, as well as organizations like ACMAS, DAM, AVEM, AEMES, CIB, the Music Band of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentristry, VBI-PVS, Quatre Gats de Medicina, AVEO and the Representative Assembly of the faculty participated in this gathering.
