Universitat de València takes part in the campaign ‘Haz ruido contra el ruido’ in collaboration with the city council of Valencia to collaborate in raising people’s awareness against noise pollution. This campaign is aimed at the university community and at young people in general, and its goal is informing and raising awareness regarding environmental and noise pollution.

Three contests have been announced under this initiative: monologues, comic writing and short films. All people of legal age and living in Spain can take part in the contests.

The works must be in Valencian or Spanish languages, original and unpublished. They do not have to be awarded with a previous prize and they must be related to noise pollution. Works must be presented personnally or by mail to the Servicio de Contaminación Acústica del Ayuntamiento de Valencia (av/de Francia 60). Deadline is April 20th. Works submitted will be published through different channels: campaign’s web and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Tuenti and Youtube). Winners will be disclosed through the Servicio de Contaminación Acústica del Ayuntamiento de Valencia’s website.

A prize will be awarded to each contest winner. They will receibe a computer, an annual subscription to Valenbisi and a book about the city of Valencia, published by the city council. More information on: www.hazruidocontraelruido.com.
