The 28 best players of the professional circuit Bwin Padel Pro Tour (PPT) played in Valencia from the 21st to the 27th November. This 6th edition took place at the sports hall of the University at Blasco Ibáñez campus. The finals of the tournament began the 23st November.
The previous week, an agreement between the Vice-principal for Culture, Equality and Planning of the University, Antonio Ariño, and the president of the sports centre Tutempo, Javier Soler, was signed. The goal of this agreement was to facilitate the entry of the university members to the tournament. The ceremony, which took place at the cultural centre La Nau, was attended by the head of the Physical Education and Sports service of the University, José Campos.
Students, teachers and administrative and services staff received a 10% discount on the tournament tickets, which could be bought at Tutempo sport centres and at the University sports hall from the beginning of the tournament. It was necessary to present the university card to get this discount .
The finals of the VI international tournament took place last Sunday, the 27th November, at 17:00.
To the 27th November, Valencia became home of the paddle tennis in the world. Important players such as Juan Martín Díaz, Fernando Belasteguín, Juani Mieres, Pablo Lima, Hernán Auguste, Matías Díaz, Miguel Lamperti, Cristian Gutiérrez, Gaby Reca or Agustín Silingo attended the tournament.
