The executive council of the University of Valencia demands the maintenance of a Valencian radio and television of quality, as a symbol of self-government and as a cohesion tool for the Valencian people. The University believes that a native radio and television have to play a key role in the dignity of the Valencian language and in the leadership of an own audiovisual sector. It also regrets the loss of hundreds of jobs in a context of crisis.

In a document, the executive council the state: "The University of Valencia urges the Valencian Regional Government to reconsider their decision, opening a necessary discuss process with the damaged workers by this decision, and moreover to reach to an agreement with the Valencian political forces in order to get the maintenance of a model of Valencian public radio and television of quality.
