The presentation of the project PRECIPITA, the collective funding platform (crowdfunding) of public science managed by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, will take place in the Event's Hall of the Library of Sciences ‘Eduard Boscà’ today Tuesday at 12:00. This initiative is framed within the Scientific Divulgation Programme of the International Campus of Excellence VLC/CAMPUS.
PRECIPITA is created with the view to making available to the scientific community a resource to encouraging and supporting researchers and giving them the support for helping society to know, understand, feel, value and enjoy science and play an active role in it.
This platform shows citizens scientific projects from different disciplines: health, environment, mathematics, technology, etc. Projects aimed at experimenting a new push and a new acceleration thanks to the small contributions of many.
PRECIPITA is exclusive for public research and development institutions or any other institutions dependent on these. It is one more means for scientists to get close to citizenship so they may transfer the value of what they do with the aim of gaining their support.
