The UV and the Valencian Association of the Economy for the Common Good will work together for the promotion of this economic model

The Universitat de València has signed an agreement with the Valencian Association for the promotion of the Economy of the Common Good. The Principal, Esteban Morcillo, and the president of the Association, Maria Amigo, signed the collaboration agreement last 23 May. With this action, both entities will work together to train, disseminate, research and promote the values of this economic model based on the common good.

In the event, it also participate the followings: general vice-secretary of the UV, Luis Enrique Nores; professor of Law, Isabel Gemma Fajardo; professor and member of Iudescoop, Rafael Chaves; as well as the secretary of the Valencian Academy for the promotion of the Economy of the Common Good, Jesús Valenzuela.

The agreement has the aim of establishing a global collaboration framework between the academic institution and the Valencian Association for the promotion of the economy of common good in matters of teaching, research, university extension and dissemination of this economic model and its values (human dignity, equality, justice, solidarity, democracy, transparency, trust and ecological sustainability).

The Universitat de València has made a commitment to make possible the training of the student body and university staff in matters of economy of the common good, to strengthen the research related to it, its values, its application and impact, and to favour the fulfilment of the activities that allow to make public this economic model such as conferences, seminars, sessions or publications.

On the other hand, the association will participate in the academic activities linked to this economic model, its values, its implementing techniques and impact. Furthermore, it will support the research activity of the UV staff; collaborate in the dissemination of the economic model of the common good through the participation in the initiatives suggested by the academic institution. Also, it will make possible the fulfilment of internships in companies and organisations that apply the values of the economy of the common good.
