The first edition of the Universitat d´Hivern d'Ontinyent (UNHO) was brought to a close last Friday, December the 2nd, at the Caixa Ontinyent’s Centre Cultural. Last conference day by full professors at the Facultat d’Economia, Vicent Soler and Alejandro Moyá, was devoted to the economic crisis and the need of firms to innovate and internationalize.
The results of this first edition have been positive. Its organizers have stated their willing to prepare the next edition. The event has been promoted by la Fundació Universitària Vall d´Albaida (FUVA) and the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation.
The UNHO has a local and university vocation and education and quality are the referents of the actions developed. Some important figures were present in the event: the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, Jorge Hermosilla; the major of the main town in Vall d’Albaida, Jorge Rodríguez; the Principal’s delegate for university extension in Ontinyent, José Pla, and the General Manager of Caixa Ontinyent, Vicente Penadés.
