
The Group Aguas de Valencia and different research teams from the Universitat de València have brought together this morning in the Science Park of the academic institution with the purpose of identifying collaboration areas between both of them. The session is framing in the program Encuentros Tecnológicos organised by the Office of Research Results Transfer (OTRI).
Water quality, proper use, emerging contaminants or big data, predictive analytics and industrial processes have been this morning, among others, the main areas of confluence between researchers of the Universitat de València and the Group Aguas de Valencia, who met in the Science Park in a session allocated to promote the approach between researcher and productive sector, and offer real solutions to the companies necessity.
On the part of Aguas de Valencia, have attended the head of institutional relationships of the Group, as well as the responsible people of different departments and areas of R&D&I, who have presented their current work lines and the main problems in the fields of water quality, environmental engineering, predictive analytics and Big data applied to water, the economy and the management, the communications and industrial processes.
On the part of the Universitat, Pilar Campins Falcó, Vice-principal for Research and Science Policy, has presented the research structures of the Universitat, the collaboration mechanisms University-Company and the offer of the research groups of the institution, which have exposed their advance in their work lines which can contribute to the improvement of the hydric resources.
This sessions are organised by the Office of Research Results Transfer (OTRI) and are developed along the year with companies from several areas (Food, Energy, Telecommunications, etc...).
Besides promoting the skills of the groups of R&D&I and to promote the collaboration public-private, the sessions offer to the researchers the opportunity to prospecting about technological challenges and innovation strategies of the companies. That allow them to orient a part of their research activity to the resolution of problems and needs of the productive area.
